JENNY MOORE-UGANDA AGENDA 2008

Praise The Lord Brethren.I am Pastor Sammy Mwanzia and I am serving with Jireh Ministries of which Mountain of The Lord is under these Ministries.
I met Jenny in Masaka after she had spend one month in Jinja. She had come to visit her parents en route to Kampala to start the process of getting official documents to enable her adopt the two children;Christopher and Priscilla. So when I met her (I met her at Zebra Hotel in Masaka where we picked her with her parents Jim and Robyn and took them to the church that is Mountain of the Lord Church-Masaka where we had prepared a party for them and The Tennessee Team).
So when I met her at Zebra Hotel,I l started talking to her in Luganda language and immediately she gave me her notebook and I started translating Luganda to English. Now when we were in the party, she talked to Pastor Benjamin about her need of going to Kampala(capital city of Uganda)to the High Court to get the court order.
When we took them to Mariaflo Hotel where they were to spend the night,Pastor Benjamin appointed me to go with Jenny to Kampala to help her go to the High Court.
The next day was Monday 07/04/08.We left Mariaflo Hotel at around 7am in the morning. We were five in the vehicle;Pastor Sam,Jenny,Jackie-Pastor Benjamin`s wife,Tushabe Fredrick and the driver. Our journey was good and we reached Kampala at around 9 to 10 am and proceeded to the High Court immediately.Jackie had some things she had to do in town so she left us.We found Jenny`s friend(from Jinja-Amani Baby Cottage)with the two children in the high court yard.So the process of waiting started.I could see Jenny and her friend discouraged but I encouraged them.Jenny`s lawyer appeared and told us that the registrar who was to sign the court order was not yet in but was on his way.So we waited for three hours and lastly the order was signed,Amen.
Then next place was in the Gender Ministry. The court order stated clearly that we had to get a signature(a signed letter)of one of the officials Before we could proceed to the passport office. We reached his office at lunch time.We met his secretary who received us but immediately she became a problem. She told us that her boss was on leave and could not do any official duty.In fact she told us that many people had come to the office for help but were turned down because her boss was on leave.
Now imagine Jenny was to fly on Friday-11/04/08.Here is a secretary who is telling us that her boss is on a 36-day leave;children are crying;I mean it was chaotic. At last she gave in and told us that her boss was in the building and if we saw a man entering the office we should follow him.
In a short time of waiting(all this time we were standing there were no seats!),praying and doing spiritual warfare,we saw a man enter the office. We immediately knew that he was the one and we followed him.The secretary who had disappeared reappeared and entered the office before us.Her boss insisted that he was on leave, was not going to do any official duty and that we had to respect his leave. There by then Jenny started speaking to him about the urgency of our case.He had to get his secretary out of the office and we were left with him.Meanwhile, the children were crying;and we were lifting them in turns while interceding in the Spirit.
Jenny`s friend presented the files to the official. The man perused through the papers and got a place which was talking about legal guardianship. He read it and Jenny told him it was actually adoption. So that was the point that brought trouble. In fact a heated debate ensued out of that point until the official brought out The Children Act according to The Constitution of Uganda. He said the court order was not in agreement with The Children's Act.Jenny said that she was up to adopting the children and that when they are in America they would be under American law.The man said that neither America nor Uganda had signed the law(international law)concerning children.
Another point the officer brought up was that according to the Children's Act,a person who should adopt a child or children should have stayed with them for 36 months. In fact he said that our paper work was good but the only thing that was hindering was that Jenny(the prospective parent)had not fulfilled the 36 months issue. We were still in the office, the clock was ticking.children were hungry,we were exhausted.A point reached when we felt like giving up!We were fearing that if the official had not signed our papers that day,we would have failed completely.
So he told us that there were some papers which were not signed. So he send us back to the high court to hake the papers signed. But we told Jenny`s friend tom stay behind and make sure that the official did not leave the office. So we went to the high court and the papers were signed and we hurriedly went back to the official`s office. So nit was a to and fro job.The official brought yet another complication that he had to get the registrar on the phone to talk to him. Therefore he send us back to the high court so that he could talk to registrar. He also gave us a time limit of up to 5pm in which if he would leave the office if we delayed. We left Jenny`s friend again in the officials office. When we reached the high court Jenny`s friend called us on phone and told us that the official and decided to sign and therefore we went back.At this point its where Jackie came back and I had to go back to Masaka with her.
In my heart I was not wanting to leave for Masaka, but I hesitantly accepted to leave. So on our way back to Masaka,Jenny Send to me a text message that AT LAST THE OFFICIAL HAD SIGNED OUR PAPERS.PRAISE THE LORD!But here I was, going to Masaka when my heart was in Kampala.I knew the Lord had given me the burden of helping Jenny.
THe next day was Tuesday.Jenny went to the passport office. This time she waqs alone with the two children. She got a lot of problems in the offices.Everywhere she went she had to tell her story afresh!Imagine how boring and intimidating it was. That evening she text me asking me if the next day I could go back to Kampala to help her in the passport office. When the message came I was with Jim and Robyn taking coffee at Mariaflo Hotel. There by the we discussed the issue and we agreed that Robyn AND i were to leave for Kampala the next day because Jenny`s issue was of great concern to us and we had to help.
On Wednesday we left for Kampala at 6:30am in the morning. We were talking to Jenny on phone in our journey.WE reached Havana Hotel Kampala at 10 am and helped Jenny to put her luggage in the car and we left for the passport office. We got some drinks on our way and we were okay.
When we reached the passport office we went straight to the first office which was of the Commissioner of passports and citizenship(Before Jenny met a man who was to direct her to this office).Jenny said that someone had told her that this man was not easy to deal with. But I told her that we had to trust the Lord to see His greatness. So when we entered the office we had to pass through the secretary who took our files and at first she just put them on her table. Then after a while(we were praying) she took the files to her boss.Meanwhile, this man got out and told us that he had been summoned by his boss and would be back in a short while which he3 surely did.But in my heart I knew Jesus was with us and no matter what was coming on our way we had the victory.
So after encouraging Jenny and assuring her that everything would be fine we were allowed to go in the office of the big man. What surprised us is this. The man was so grateful that we had decided to adopt the two children;that there were many orphans in the country and that he was thankful for our action. He was signing the files as he talked.
He called his secretary and ordered her to photocopy a certain paper in our files. Now when we got out of the offices,I started talking to the secretary and readily she became our friend.I told her that we needed her help. That we needed the two passports at 4pm because they were to be taken to the Embassy. At first she resisted and said we had to go back after ten working days.I insisted and told her that I knew she could help us.Then after some time, she accepted to help us.So I took her cellphone number so that we could talk to her even when we were out of the passport offices.
We left the offices and went back to the city centre to take our lunch in a place called Garden City.I knew that the Lord had given us victory. At 3:30 pm we went back to the passport office after talking to the secretary. All the time I was praying in my heart and truly the Lord honoured my prayers. We reached trhe office at 4 pm and after calling her on phone she told us that one of our passports was ready and the other was being printed.
So by 5:30pm we had the two passports in our hands. Is that not wonderful? It was God who truly gave us the victory.Amen.
From the passport office we went back to Havana Hotel where we spend the night.Itwas the beginning of the long awaited victory. The next morning we had an appointment with one official in The American Embassy. But in that morning that is Thursday morning,I felt in my heart that we were not going to get victory that day.We left for the Embassy at 7:15 am.We reached there when it was raining,We did not have anything to cover ourselves from the rain but nevertheless we continued with our mission. The security was tight as usual but we managed to get in.
When we reached the office we were going, the man took our files and read through. He came across the term legal guardianship! We were adopting the children but the judge had said something different! So this man told us that he was to contact the judge and he would talk to us later. We got out of the the office discouraged But I had to stand firm and encourage my sisters(mother and daughter). After a short time Jenny was strong again! We went back to the city to take lunch.Inthe evening we went and packed our car somewhere.I was sorry for Jenny because she was spending a lot of money. So her mother called me aside and she was telling me that I was supposed to leave for Masaka.I told her that I could leave but the issue of her daughter was urgent and the Lord had put Jenny`s burden in my heart.
Jenny also talked to me of the same. But I told them that I was willing to help them till we get the victory. So while I was talking,The lord spoke to me that I had friends in Kampala and I could go and stay in one of my friends house thatr night. And surely when I called one of my friends it worked. So when I told Jenny and her mother about it, it was great.
So we took Jenny and her mother and the two children to Havana Hotel and the drver and I left.
The next morning I met Jenny at the hotel and we all left for the Embassy.I knew in my heart the we were to get victory that day.We reached the Embassy and right away we went to this man`s office. It was real breakthrough.Jenny signed all the papers and the man told us that we could go back on the following Tuesday and collect the visas.See how God works.
We left the office full of joy and assurance and we praised God for His Faithfulness,Greatness,Grace and Breakthrough.
We went to the Emirates office so that we could forward Jenny`s ticket to Tuesday and that we could get tickets for the children. In the office we were told that if Jenny was to fly alone with the two children she had to to have three tickets, but if she would get an adult she would require two tickets. So her mother had no option but to travel with her daughter. So we got two tickets.
We left for Garden city where we met Pastor Benjamin and Jim and after praying we parted.Pastor Benjamin and Jim and Robyn left for Masaka.Jenny the children and I left for Jinja. On the way we found police shooting and I tell you the truth, God saved us.Amen.
We reached Amani Baby Cottage well and we dropped the the children there.Afer I took Jenny to her friends house(Don and Daniel). After she escorted me also to my friends house where I was to stay.I left Jinja on Sunday for I had some work to do in Kampala. On Monday Don went to the Embassy and collected the visas.
So we met with Robyn in Kampala on Tuesday and we parted there.Jenny, her mother and the children left for the airport and me and some brothers left for ,Masaka. When Jenny and her mother and the children had entered the plane she(Jenny)requested to know whether there was oxygen in case of emergency.
The plane was stopped and they were all taken out of the plane and it left. But all in all they managed to board a plane and leave for America.
Praise The Lord Jesus for what He did.All the glory and honour belong to Him.Amen.
